Justin is an operations executive, AI researcher, and CFA® charterholder with 11+ years spanning institutional asset management, venture investing, and startup leadership.
Most recently, Justin served as COO & Director of AI Research for one of the largest open-source AI agent platforms — 18,000+ GitHub stars, 5,500+ forks, and a published research paper. He drove the technical and product vision for a modular AI agent framework supporting autonomous agent development.
Previously, Justin was a Researcher & Investor at 1kx, a $1B venture fund with LPs including Marc Andreessen and Galaxy Digital. He sourced and evaluated early-stage investments across AI, distributed computing, zkML, and more.
Before that, he managed investment activities for ultra-high-net-worth clients at Abbot Downing, a multi-family office serving individuals with $50M+ net worth, delivering asset allocation, equity research across Technology and Healthcare, and strategic portfolio recommendations.
He holds the CFA designation and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance.
